WHY WE EXIST
Our current food systems are failing us
But we can work together to create new ones that serve the health and independence of our communities.
Food Freedom Milwaukee aims to:
Give people an alternative to the current food systems failing us and our planet
Reawaken the human practice of growing our own food
Reclaim individual and community spaces as land we can use to feed ourselves and our neighbors
What WE DO
Food Freedom Milwaukee aims to transform our urban space from ecologically dead zones into thriving regenerative, food and health producing naturescapes.
We do this through 5 key initiatives:
Community gardens
Native pocket prairies
School gardening programs
Gardening resources
Community education
